AVA SINGS BETH
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
My six year old daughter, Ava, is a huge KISS fan and Gene Simmons fan. She was the only first grader in her school to wear her precious KISS shirt to the first day of school. For Christmas she asked Santa for tickets to a KISS concert, unfortunately Santa wasn’t able to bring concert tickets this year, but she was satisfied with other KISS merchandise.

Our school theatre was vandalized on Halloween Eve and badly burnt, to celebrate the restoration we hosted a 24 hour concert this January. Ava performed Beth wearing her Gene Simmons costume, much to the amusement of her teacher and the audience.

I have attached the video of her performance. It would make her year to know that Gene himself had seen her performance. Frankly, I’m not sure she would come down from the thrill it would produce.

Thank you so kindly,
Sarah Barber

SIXTY SECONDS OF HEAVEN
Mr. Speed Interview – Playing Akron Civic Saturday January 22

We love tribute bands, and we’ve loved KISS since, oh, about forever. So obviously a band of maniacs who dedicated themselves to bringing the best possible KISS concert our new hometown are gonna be people we like. So here’s our interview with Rich Kosak, aka ‘Starchild’ from Mr. Speed, who are playing in Akron at the Civic on Saturday, January 22.

60: When did you first see and / or hear KISS? Was it a “oh wow” moment right away? Has your love for them ever faded (say during ‘The Elder’ era?) If so, what got you back?

Rich Kosak: “The first time that I saw KISS was on the Paul Lynde Halloween Special. I remember it being very explosive if you will and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Almost the very next day it seemed I saw the commercial for the KISS radio. I heard the beginning riff and saw the radio explode on our television and I thought to myself that I have to find out as much as I can about who these guys were. Ask me if my love for the band has ever faded during any period of their career, and I would tell you that it hasn’t. I have looked at every phase of their career as another opportunity to get more into them. In the late ’70′s and even through the ’80′s and ’90′s those eras seemed innocent. Every period of the bands career played an important part of my development as both a fan and a person.”

AUDIO "SIGHTINGS" ON THE BIG SCREEN
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
Yet more examples of KISS' cultural influence as two recent movies contain KISS songs -- one more obvious than the other. In "The Dilemma," Detroit Rock City blasts from the screen as the characters played by Vince Vaughn and Kevin James head to Detroit for a meeting with an auto manufacturer.

The second audio "sighting" is not quite as evident, but it is noticeable if you're a KISS fan. In Sophia Coppola's new film "Somewhere," the chords and melody of "Love Theme From KISS" are playing in the background as the lead character (Stephen Dorff) shows up to a party.

KISS truly is everywhere!!

Thanks,
Alan Bunnell

DOGS AT ZOMBIE WALK
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
KISS is everywhere!

Check out these KISS dogs spotted at the New Jersey Zombie Walk. The 4,093 zombies on the boardwalk in Ashbury Park, N.J. set a new Guinness World Record on Oct. 30, 2010. I was one of the zombies, and while I was there I took this picture of the two dogs dressed as Gene and Paul. The owner had the masks on the back of the dogs heads and it really looked like Gene and Paul's hair around the mask.

Thanks,
Nick

ROCKS NY LOFT HOSTEL
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
KISS IS EVERYWHERE!

Hi KISS,

I'm a Graphic Designer and I would like to share this little tribute I did on a wall from the NEW YORK LOFT HOSTEL. I designed the branding of the place and did all its graphic concept and decor as well based on New York City icons, for which I couldn't miss KISS, of course.

The hostel is doing great and has been ranked #3 in the top10 US Hostels. It is located in Bushwick, in the east side of Williamsburg, and is a 1913 building restored and opened as a beautiful Loft Hostel. The KISS wall is the artwork for the arrow pointing at the Rock and Roll All Nite Room, as each room door (over 60) has a specific New York City culture theme.

You can see more on www.nylofthostel.com.

I hope you enjoy it as much as everyone as it seems to be everybody's favorite wall in the place.

Thanks, and keep on rocking!!

Death sucks. It's sad, strange, scary and unfortunately inevitable. And what's worse is that, no matter how unfair it seems, when it comes to your passions and material possessions, you-as the saying goes-"can't take it with you."

But if you're a geek, if you've been tempted to legally change your name to James T. Kirk, think of baseball as a religion or wear eight-inch platform dragon boots to the mailbox, then the good souls at Eternal Image are making a strong bid to help you betray that train of thought.

The company-incorporated in 2006-has been making news and waves by selling collectibles to corpses, giving your busted shell one last blast of nerd-tastic pop-culture glory. First with a series of licensed Major League Baseball products including coffins and urns, then with the intergalactic, ghost-of-Roddenberry-approved STAR TREK urns (with the words "To Boldly Go..." emblazoned on their fronts) and now with a newly minted (the product will be officially unveiled later this month), Gene Simmons-sanctioned KISS casket.

OUR WEDDING
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
Hi KISS and all the KISS ARMY!

My husband and me (Jonathan and Stephanie) are from Peru and we are KISS fans since we can remember. We met at Med School and our friendship began with KISS of course. Our first kiss was listening to "Hold me, touch me" and we´ve been a couple for 8 years.

When KISS came to Lima-Peru in 2009, we were at the airport, at their hotel (we took that pic with Eric Singer there), and were at first row at their concert!! We made that KISS ARMY flag specially for the concert and of course it had to be present at our wedding that was this October 9th 2010. The cake topper was with us as KISS ARMY bride and groom and our first dance was with "Forever".

We are happy to share. God Bless. Yeah!!

STAR STRUCK
KISSONLINE.com
Dear Paul,

My name is Tom Anderson and you smashed the guitar at the Toronto, Canada concert, September 10, 10 in my Honor. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you 1 on 1 that day. I have been a true fan for 36 years. Meeting the co-founder of the greatest band in the world was a dream come true. You were a kind and gracious gentleman and I appreciated that. Knowing that you are an accomplished artist, I thought you may appreciate how I displayed my prized possession. It's entitled "STAR STRUCK" and it is proudly displayed in my billiards room at my home. Thank you for making that day one that I will remember for the rest of my life! I hope our paths may cross again in the not-so-distant future.

Sincerely,
Thomas Anderson
