KISS IS EVERWHERE!

Thanks to our friend Paul Finn from KISSIN' UK for sending KISSOnline this story!

There's been a couple of KISS references on the BBC celebrity panel show Never Mind The Buzzcocks over the past few weeks, firstly I Was Made For Lovin' You was on the intros round (where contestants have to guess a song by humming the intro, in this case it was Noel Fielding and Pixie Lott), and on last weeks episode Noel Fielding was wearing Paul Stanley make-up for the whole show. Noel is known for being a KISS fan and was present at the Islington show last year.

MY -INSPIRED PAINTING
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
Hello KISS & fellow KISS ARMY members!

I'm a seventeen-year-old art student from California, & I find most of my inspiration in rock bands like KISS, & in other artists like Paul Stanley. I created this self-portrait after a picture I took of myself in my KISS-themed birthday party. I wanted to thank you for inspiring this painting & for creating music that continues to inspire me in many aspects of my life.

Keep Rockin' \m/

THE CHARITY RUN!
KISSONLINE FAN LETTER
KISS IS EVERYWHERE!

Hey Guys!

I recently ran the world's biggest half marathon (the Great North Run in the UK) as The Demon, and I can't tell you how great the experience was! It was like being in The Beatles! (Or KISS!) The crowd response was totally amazing - there's such love for KISS out there! as you probably know! - and I got totally papped too! Interviewed for TV and radio, repeatedly photographed, and even made the BBC's one minute (one minute!) round up of the whole event here - blink and you'll miss me at 14 secs: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/athletics/14966843.stm.

It was a little bit tough running 13 miles in the face paint, suit and wig - Hotter Than Hell, in fact, but it was all worth it! Especially as I was doing it for charity, myself and my friend Clare raising over $2000 for Children With Cancer. I hope to do more KISS fundraising soon! Maybe I'll come out and run the New York Marathon in costume! Maybe I can even get four of us to do it, with the whole of KISS running a marathon! (Has that happened before?) Anyway hope to get to meet you guys some day!

Maybe when you play the UK next! In the meantime I'll continue to help spread the word of Kiss as well as raise more money for worthy charities!

MINI-GOLF COURSE TO OPEN IN MARCH
By Delen Goldberg

The holes are being drilled, the artificial turf laid, and the props — most notably a giant, starred boot and oversized Gene Simmons head with gaping mouth — placed.

KISS by Monster Mini Golf, an indoor putt-putt course themed after the iconic glam-rock band, will open March 15 at The Shoppes at Harmon Square, owners announced this week.

The miniature golf course was supposed to debut at the end of this year and then in January, but the project’s Facebook page said the opening was postponed by a series of unspecified construction hitches. The new grand opening date coincides with the anniversary of the band’s “Destroyer” album, released March 15, 1976.

Monster Mini Golf, which runs 25 mini-golf courses nationally, signed a 10-year, $3 million lease with the strip mall at Harmon Avenue and Paradise Road. The indoor course will feature 18 holes with custom glow-in-the-dark KISS props, a video game arcade, a KISS gallery, the “Hotter Than Hell” Wedding Chapel, a private VIP room, the “Rock ’n’ Roll All Nite” Cafe and what’s billed as the largest KISS gift shop in the world. A live DJ will play KISS music and staff will lead customers in KISS trivia contests with prizes.

Mega-fans can even immortalize themselves in the venue’s decor. For a $20 fee, owners will post a business-card sized photo of you or a loved one in KISS gear on a restaurant or party room wall. Forty bucks will buy you a jumbo print. Big spenders can shell out $1,500 to have their photos displayed in digital frames at the start of holes Nos. 2 through 17, while the most dedicated fans can spend $5,000 to be featured at the first hole, dedicated to Paul Stanley, or the last hole, an homage to Simmons.
