Having been a fan since 1978, when i was in primary school ,back in Argentina, for some reason or another, I have never managed to seeing you live.
That was until this year when I finally accomplished to attend the show on May 13th in London.
To say I was thrilled, amazed, overjoyed and that it had exceeded my expectations is one of the many ways that I can describe this cathartic experience.
Seeing the grin on my face on the pictures and videos of the show a friend asked me what this actually meant to me. This has actually urged me to write this letter.
It just hit me like a ton of bricks when I realised that being a part of the Kiss Army from such a young age, more or less shape the person I became.
I started learning English at 8, just to understand the lyrics and be able to sing along, I have now lived in London for over 15 years... I use to make up all my friends since I was 9 in all the different characters-the catman, the starchild, the space man and the demon.. I have worked as a make up artist most of my adult life... It also brings back very powerful memories of my dad, who passed away very young, whom back in the late 70's and early '80's got me the tapes , the t-shirts.... Every time I listen to Love Gun , i am back there in his bedroom , him sort of 'smuggling' the tape,in order not to get in trouble with mum for spoiling me yet again...(We succesfully managed to pretend it was the same tape he has given me the week before,several times), so this way slowly but steadily I built up my collection
As you can see you have brought so much joy in my life, and for that I just wanted to say THANK YOU for giving Rock and Roll to me!
