What a fun fuckin’ album. Guys… now this is classic KISS.
I’ve been a “fan” since 75. I bought my first Kiss LP at about age 7. I’m 42 now.
My parents looked at me like I had lobsters coming out of my ears. But… they
bought the album for me. From that moment on… I had ‘em all.
Never joined the Kiss Army. Should have – wanted to – but I was 7or 8. But… the music and the whole vibe from the LP’s were good enough for me at that age.
Although… I do remember buying the hell out of the Kiss cards later on. And buying the first couple Grooves issues right off the rack at Joe’s Variety Candy Store in Flushing, Queens. Wish I had them now. Memories. Good memories. Had this little German Deli next door. I went to Joe’s… bought the Grooves and then went next door and bought a nice German pickle for the walk home from school. Now of course … that was when a kid COULD walk home from school… especially in Flushing, Queens. But that’s another subject all together.
I’ve followed Kiss through all the years as a “regular” fan. All the LP’s have something to offer. I’ve never heard a Kiss album that sucked. Different? Yes. Strange (Elder)? … Yes. But never bad.
This LP sounds as though it should have been released after Rock & Roll Over. It’s that good. It really did transport me back to the 70’s. Although I must admit … I miss Peter & Ace. That would have been icing on the cake. BUT… that said… Tommy and Eric fit like a glove. Like Eric Carr did.
Thanks guys… I needed that.

Hey guys. I'm Ryan. I'm 13, adore Sonic Boom(youtube) and I'm gonna meet you guys in Uncasville on the 3rd. I'm from NJ and I discovered KISS after looking at the top of the Guns N' Roses influences page. After listening to some KISS classics, exploring KISSTORY throughout the web, buying 10 albums, and convincing my mom to pay $1000 for me to come see you, you are officially my favorite band. I love the fact that KISS is about having a good time, and you don't sing about problems or drugs or that sorta thing. You're all about the positive side of life. I've seen hundreds of videos of concert footage and I won't be surprised if October 3rd is the greatest day of my life. I'm sitting first row seat 11 so give me a wave. Everyone at school thinks you guys are weird and the usual crap that you hear, but I couldn't care less. My school planner is decorated with a bunch of KISS pictures because it seems like the reasonable thing to do when you love a band as great as you guys. Anyway, there's a lot more I'd like to say, so if you want, I'll tell you during the meet and greet in CT. Thank you for being as great as you are.

Wow !!! That's all I could think of as I was listening to cuts like "Never Enough" & "Yes I Know". I really wish I could have seen the smile on my own face when I heard the first note from Sonic Boom.I can't describe it. It's like everything from "KISS" to the "solo albums" all rolled into one. Gentlemen, you have done it again. It definitely takes me back to a vintage era,( I'm a 100%, for real, no B.S.,KISS fan since 76, & a KISS Army Member since 79) but at the same time, it's fresh & current. It really kicks major a**.Thanks again. See ya in Greenville,SC 4th row center :)
