Dear Paul, Gene, Tommy, Eric, We loved your show on November 15th at the Seattle Key Arena. The stage performance was orchestrated so beautifully, as it clearly displayed you amongst the truest of artist. How about the new CD! Sonic Boom. You guys keep extending the list of classics. At the show, we especially were drawn by your aura of love, appreciation, and fun spirit. The show was so vibrant, so impacting, surreality is the closest way to describe it. We love you guys, and hope to see more of you in the future. Keep in high spirits boys. We always believe in you. Thank you for being who you are. Our connection through music is a soul channel from ours to yours. Hail the KISS ARMY/Family. With Love and Support, Karen and John. Centralia, WA.

HI there to the greatest band in the land! The only problem is that land is the US of A. Having released one of the best KISS albums ever, and a full-blown tour of the US of A to go with it. What about us poor KISS starved heavy metal maniacs in the UK? Having been a KISS fan since the early 70's along with millions of other brits, a Sonic Boom UK Tour and I mean a full tour, not the Download festival one-off appearance would be absolutely the best thing to happen here in years. In fact I can' remember the last time Kiss did a UK Tour - the last one I went to was the Revenge Tour. Surely since then, but WHAT ABOUT NOW??????? WE WANT KISS!! WE WANT KISS! Please give me an answer Lifelong fan Mark

Just FYI - I sent this letter to the Seattle Times, our local newspaper. They decided not to cover the INCREDIBLE KISS Show at Key Arena on Sunday Night and that's just beyond my comprehension. This band has undoubtedly been revitalized! What a night! I've been seeing KISS since 1979 and I'm pretty much still amazed and kind of speechless after the Seattle show. Words fail. I hope they come back as soon as possible. My friends and I are going to try to set a record for as many people as possible showing up to their next Seattle show in full makeup. Paul, Gene, Tommy and Eric - thanks a MILLION for one incredible show. I hope you felt appreciated when you were here! ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: joe mckinstry Date: Fri, Nov 20, 2009 at 1:57 PM Subject: KISS at Key Arena - Lack Of Times Coverage To: dboardman@seattletimes.com, sdardarian@seattletimes.com, arts@seattletimes.com, rwagner@seattletimes.com It didn't escape my notice that the Seattle Times ignored Sunday's KISS concert at Key Arena. Given the economic climate in Seattle and the cloudy future of Key Arena, it disappointed me to no end that the Times refused to be on hand for this event. Granted, I am a bit biased because I am a fan of the band. But if anybody, and I mean anybody, is going to pack the place with 10,000-15,000 people then the event should be covered by your paper. Why? You guys are now the only newspaper in town. You have a bigger responsibility now to cover all of the bases now that the PI is gone. Second, and probably more importantly, any event at Key Arena is going to fuel the local economy in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood. With the Sonics gone for good, that's good news for everybody in that area. Further, the public ought to know when its civic assets are being utilized - whether it's for the Dalai Lama, a motivational business seminar, or a first-rate rock show like we got Sunday night. Maybe I'm wrong, but I sense that your music critics were biased against this band and sort of of turned their nose up at the thought of covering the show. I base that on seeing every other classic rock band's Seattle-area concerts getting reviewed in the Times. Honestly, if I had known that no one from your paper was going to be there, I would have volunteered to be a stringer for the show. It would've been a great review. The band deserved it and everyone who was there would have agreed with it. This was an EVENT. You missed it. If you want to be credible as the lone newspaper voice in town you have to cover all of the events that draw the masses, not just the ones that your music critics believe are cool or hip. Thanks for the opportunity to comment, Joe McKinstry

Sacramento review
Subject: Sacramento review
From: Gary Shaller on 11/20/2009
On October 9th, 1992, I walked into Meadowlands in New Jersey and saw my first KISS concert. That night, KISS were an unstoppable entity... 4 guys who, musically, seemed to inhale and exhale in unison. Even though Bruce had been in the band for almost a decade, 1992 was a time when he seemed to be a more integral player. And Eric? Well, what can you say about a guy who drums with that ferocity and sings like a champ? Most of all, the Revenge tour gave us a very unified and cohesive KISS. They looked, sounded, and acted like they'd been rehearsing, and by all appearances they were having a lot of fun. Eighteen concerts later, I finally had that same feeling last night in Sacramento. Now let me clarify something: This is no bash against any member or lineup; 1996 was magical, 1998 was exhilarating, 2000 was nostalgic, 2003 was energetic, and 2004 was strong. But something seems to have happened within the past 2 years to "reunite" KISS as a fully-functioning organism, and not just 4 different pieces. The rejuvenated chemistry was best observed during the encores when Eric attempted to toss a drum stick to a little girl in the 1st row. After someone grabbed the drum stick away from her, the members of KISS banded together like the comic book super heroes we grew up admiring, and showered this little girl with drum sticks and guitar picks (Eric all the while giving stern and scolding looks to whomever had committed the offending action). There were smiles for miles, and KISS was Alive! Every member of KISS was an entertainer last night. EVERY SINGLE MEMBER of KISS was interacting with bandmates and audience members alike. I've never seen Paul look as happy onstage. Gene and Paul seemed to be on the same page throughout the night, and they took turns engaging with Tommy by way of high-fives, dueling guitar improvs, and general stage antics. And Eric was on top of his game, with a solo that was more 1992 than 1975. Musically? Great stuff! I'd have enjoyed more from "Sonic Boom," but had this been 1985 (when I was 9 and DREAMING of someday seeing a KISS concert), I'd have been more than happy with my 2 "Asylum" songs and a bevy of KISS classics. The energy and enthusiasm more than made up for any complaints I could have had. My wife, who'd seen them in 2003 and 2004, was similarly impressed. Even as a non-fan, she made unsolicited comments during and after the show about how it felt like a real band. I know it's been said already, but it's worth typing: If you are having any 2nd thoughts about seeing them on this tour, just go to the concert. It was worth it.
